Estate agents pledge anniversary year of support to hospice
Agent's dress up for good cause.
Sharman Quinney has pledged a year of support to Thorpe Hall Hospice to celebrate their silver anniversary year.
The firm, which has a 20-office network and employs over 150 staff, has promised to throw themselves into fundraising for the Sue Ryder hospice, in Longthorpe, Peterborough to mark 25 successful years in business.
They kicked off their 12 months of support with a fun superhero dress up day which raised over £400. Plans are now being put in place to see that figure climb to their target of £25,000 with a series of fundraising activities in the coming months.
Steve Quinney, Co-founder of the agency says: “We’re proud of the impact we’ve made on local communities over the years through helping thousands of people to move home. We’re especially proud to be marking our 25th anniversary by supporting Sue Ryder, which is a very worthy local cause. I look forward to having fun and raising as much as we can.”
All the money the team raise will go towards the appeal funding the building of the new hospice at Thorpe Hall. With £2.99 million still to raise and building work underway, all support is appreciated.
Thorpe Hall’s corporate fundraiser Kate Bement says: “Sharman Quinney is a well established local business and we’re delighted they have chosen to support us as a local charity in their anniversary year. With Superman and Wonderwoman on the fundraising case, I’m confident they’ll hit their target over the next 12 months.”
