Sharman Quinney supports Sue Ryder charity
Agent celebrates 25 years in business with local donation.
Local estate agency Sharman Quinney is delighted to announce it has raised over £1,000 for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice, based in Longthorpe, Peterborough. The Peterborough-based estate agent, which has a network of offices across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire, held a raffle for its staff at its annual top achievers event and was very pleased to recently present the cheque to Sue Ryder’s Regional Fundraiser Julie Laithwaite.
Sue Ryder has 13 care centres across the UK, including Thorpe Hall, which provide compassionate care and support for people with palliative, long-term and end of life needs. Sharman Quinney was very pleased to support such a worthwhile local cause, especially with the centre’s ongoing campaign to build a new ‘state-of-the-art’ care facility in its grounds.
“On behalf of Sue Ryder and the Thorpe Hall Hospice I would like to thank Sharman Quinney’s staff for this generous donation,” says Julie Laithwaite. “Support from individuals and businesses for the work that we do is vital and very much appreciated. Thorpe Hall is a beautiful 17th century mansion but it is not fit for purpose. This money will go towards providing a purpose built hospice which will ensure the surroundings for our patients are as incredible as the care they receive."
Sharman Quinney Managing Director Mike Sharman had this to say: “Supporting a local charity like Thorpe Hall Hospice is important to Sharman Quinney. We are a local business and committed to helping locally based causes. I hope we will have the opportunity to make future donations to this very important and worthwhile charity.”
