SENIOR LEVEL APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED
We are pleased to announce three key, senior level appointments: Stephen Buddle becomes Group Land Director, Claire Payne is the company’s New Homes Sales Manager, and Ian Bradberry takes over as Residential Sales Manager in St. Neots.
Stephen Buddle is in his second decade with the business and will be responsible for acquiring parcels of land suitable for residential development, from single plots upwards including large sites for some of the national house builders. His scope takes in not only Sharman Quinney but also our Northamptonshire subsidiary, Pattison Lane. “As a specialist division, we focus on the valuation, acquisition and disposal of land, the basic commodity for any developer and have contacts locally, regionally and nationally looking for suitable sites for future development” said Stephen. “I hope to build upon existing relationships with developers and also help private individuals who are looking to maximise potential in smaller land parcels. We offer advice across the range of land opportunities: sites with or without planning permission, part-built and brown-field sites, and we endeavour to maximise the value of all opportunities including residential properties, large gardens, unused buildings and commercial premises.”
Claire Payne is certainly no stranger to selling homes having started her career at our Orton office before going on to manage offices at Stamford and more recently, St. Neots. Claire commented on her new role: “This has come at a great time for me; I have really enjoyed my three years managing St. Neots office, virtually from day one of opening there, but now feel ready to take on new challenges. I will be meeting with property developers at the earliest opportunity; we have strong and well established relationships with many household names among those companies building homes throughout this region. Interestingly, their needs have changed over the years, demanding far more from their chosen estate agents - they want proof that estate agents are taking the new homes sector seriously and of course, they demand results. I am under no illusions; it will be a steep learning curve, it’s almost a different language but I have wonderful support at head office and equally, from each of our seventeen offices.”
Ian Bradberry takes over the reins at St. Neots office with fifteen years estate agency experience behind him, the bulk of which have been in managerial roles. With a team of five, he hopes to continue the work started in the town by Claire Payne: “When Sharman Quinney opened this office back in 2007, there were few people in the town that had heard of our name; our nearest offices were the newly opened Cambourne branch and a little further afield, Ramsey. So to come in to St Neots in 2010 in a position of some strength is testament to the work carried out by Claire and the team before me. We are witnessing increased activity in the market, notably relocations from Cambridge and further south. It will also be interesting to see what effect the suspension of Home Information Packs has on the number of people at least considering a move.”
